To aid with settling in and group dynamics, in the first week a challenge was set – who could make the longest paper marble run!
Working in their table groups, the children were set the challenge and given suggestions regarding how they could complete the task. Some divided the roles up according to strengths, some did their individual bits and then came together at the end.
The children loved testing the marble runs. They discussed what was needed to get the marble down to the end. They performed really well in their teams to produce the final outcome; the pictures paint a thousand words!
